...that Electra and Medusa are one and the same.
I really should have knit this in the round, like Felicia did, at least up to the armholes. I tried carrying the yarn up the sides for stripes that were closer together so imagine if you will: there could have been even more ends, HAHA! BTW, the photo on top is probably the most accurate (colorwise) I've been able to get so far. I had Kidsilk Haze in Dewberry (muted purple) in the stash so I used it instead of buying a ball of Splendour (bright purple). All the other colors are the same as the vest on the cover of Rowan 38.
See the kidsilk haze fuzz? It really softens up the vest, even though there're only a few rows here and there. Well, a lesson was learned from seeing all those ends hanging out. And while it's too late to knit this little vest in the round, I think I've tamed the front. More to follow later...
Aiyiyi! But rich fall colours nonetheless.

Your Purly Baby Hat is wonderful! I help knit caps for all the new babies born in our hospital (very small town) and would love to try something with more style. Will you share your pattern, please?

That looks awesome. I'm debating this sweater myself and that picture sure makes me crave it even more.

Medusa! hahaha ... what a funcky picture! But I know it's no kidding about the loose ends when you have to weave them in!

Oh, wow. I LOVE that you used Dewberry instead of Splendour! It's beautiful. I find that the colour of Splendour is so close to the colour of the Yorkshire Tweed that you can't really tell the difference! Beautiful job.

Great colors on your vest and the Kidsilk Haze was a good substitution. It's a lot work but the result will be gratifying!

Hmm... the colours are beautiful! I think the weaving in will be well worth the effort. This is one of my favourite designs from the book.

I love your vest! I can't wait to see it finished - it's my favorite design from that magazine.
I discovered your site through Purly Whites, and I'm enjoying seeing all of your projects. I also just bought that Japanese skirt book you posted about a few entries back - isn't that funny?
