My Nasty Raspy
It's done! Here's an unseamed Raspy. It's really long, isn't it?
Then into the hot bath. We don't have a hot water washing machine since it's warm most months in HK anyway. Finally the dryer. Put through the ringer but all the better for it, my Raspy.
A few modifications were made. Except for the sleeves, the sweater was knit in the round so the raglan 'seams' had to be fudged after shrinking.
An extra round of decreases was made at the end so it'll hug my shoulders better. And last but not least, I fiddled with the measurements so it would suit me. (ie. shorter) My Raspy really IS perfect, if I could grow a few inches. Somehow, I had '20% longer' stuck in my mind and I did just that, no questions asked, until it came out of the dryer. While it's absolutely wearable, it's longer than I'd intended.
Then I thought about it. 7 rows per inch prewash to 8 rows per inch after shrinkage, means just 15% extra knitting. DUH!!! I'm considering ripping out a couple of inches from the hem of the body but there's the problem of putting in the ladders. Maybe I could 'grow' to like it as it is. There's still another cone of denim in the stash so I'll have more shots at this yarn! :-)
Another great and fast FO from you.
Is blue your favourite colour?

Nice work, it looks like a good length too. Interesting - you mentioned fudging the raglan - what did you do? They really look raglan!

Raspy looks great! I actually quite like the length, but then you're the one wearing it!
